Are you struggling with anxiety, PTSD or postpartum depression?
I specialize in treating survivors who are ready to heal from their experiences. Maybe this is your first time looking for help or maybe you've been to many talk therapists and you're looking for something different.
I am a licensed counselor with extensive training in treating trauma. Over the years I've learned how past events can be the source of many mental health issues like anxiety, OCD, depression, eating disorders and addiction. I provide a safe non-judgemental environment for my clients and work collaboratively to make your treatment impactful and comfortable for you. I provide clients with aspects of DBT therapy, CBT therapy, Mindfulness and I specialize in providing EMDR therapy. EMDR therapy offers all the support and clarity you experience in talk therapy with the added bonus being able to process the issues you are experiencing at a deeper more effective level than talk therapy alone. No matter what brings you here, I recognize the bravery and courage it takes to even begin searching for professional help. I am here to support you on your journey toward healing and self-discovery.

Are you ready to start your journey?
Lets start with what might be on your mind...
How do I know if I need therapy?
There's never really a bad time to start therapy. Many people benefit from talking to someone after a major life change, while they're contemplating a big decision or when they feel they are ready to change the way they feel about themselves. You don't have to wait until you're in terrible pain or crisis to start. Whether you're finally ready to process through trauma or you're just looking for someone to talk things out, therapy can improve your quality of life.
What will my fist session be like?
During our first session we will be getting to know each other talking a bit about my background, confidentiality and then what is bothering your right now. I like to get a basic overview of what's going on in your life, what your stressors are, what your symptoms are and a general idea of who you are and maybe what you'd like to change.
How often do we see each other?
I like to start off seeing clients weekly or bi-weekly depending on what best works for them.
What is this EMDR thing you do?
In addition to talk therapy approaches I use like CBT, DBT and Gestalt therapy I am also fully trained to do EMDR. EMDR stands for rapid eye movement desensitization and reprocessing. It allows us to more deeply process through events or memories which may have negatively impacted your life and reinforce events which has positively impacted your life.
